Mar d'Estórias marks ten years of activity with a programme of celebrations taking place from 15 to 19 June in Lagos. The festivities include wine tastings, presentations of Portuguese products, live music, and a cake-cutting ceremony that officially marks the anniversary.
Founded by Célia Real and Luís Ledo, Mar d’Estórias was born of the dream of creating a space that tells the story of Portugal authentically, through its products, producers, and creators. Ten years on, the project has established itself as a cultural and commercial reference in the Algarve, bringing together a shop, grocery, wine cellar, restaurant, and terrace bar within a historic building in the heart of Lagos.
The festivities programme begins on 15th June with a tasting of Grand Carob creams and granola, running throughout the day with a break between 1 pm and 3 pm.
On 16th June, it is the turn of Miss Can preserves, in the same format.
On 17th June, Nau do Cacau chocolates take over the space, also running throughout the day with a break in the middle.
On June 18th, the morning is dedicated to a tasting of traditional Algarve products from 10 am to 1 pm, and the afternoon features a tasting of still and Port wines with Quinta do Quevedo from 4 pm to 7 pm.
On June 19th, the space hosts the presentation of the new Algarve Limão perfume by Leme Perfumes at 10 am, followed by a gin demonstration by DF Distillery with Marta Pinto, Portuguese Master Distiller, from 4 pm. With Portuguese music by DJ Toy from 4 pm to 7 pm, the day culminates in the anniversary cake cutting at 6:30 pm.
This day still holds even more surprises yet to come.
